To ensure a smooth and efficient work process, please keep the work areas clear of furniture, vehicles, and other obstructions. Additionally, it is important to turn off any irrigation systems the night before your scheduled work.

Important Guidelines:

Expansion Joints: To maintain the integrity of the joints, it is advisable to stay at least 16-24 hours away from them.

Epoxy Color: Please note that the color of the epoxy may vary; the provided chart and pictures are for reference only.

New Concrete Pouring: Newly poured concrete requires a curing period of 5-7 days after completion.

Paint (Cool Feel or Concrete): For painted surfaces, a curing period of 3-5 days is necessary after the work is finished.

Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any breaches of cautioned-off areas during the drying or curing periods. This includes, but is not limited to, water, grass, leaves, shoe prints, footprints, animals, and tire marks. Thank you for your cooperation.

KTX Expansion Joints Work Agreement Overview

  • KTX Expansion Joints will carry out its work based on the provided drawings and specifications supplied by the customer. It is important to note that KTX Expansion Joints is not liable for any defects or deficiencies found in the design, engineering, drawings, or specifications.
  • Please be aware that all measurements are considered approximate.
  • Any changes to the work must be documented in a written change order, which should be agreed upon and signed by both the customer and an authorized representative of KTX Expansion Joints. This change order should detail the specific changes and include any adjustments to the original contract price.
  • The customer is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, surveys, benchmarks, and staking needed to ensure the work is executed properly.
  • It is essential for the customer to share any known information regarding latent or underground utilities and obstructions at the work site. This can include, but is not limited to, buried lines, cables, pipes, and different types of utilities (such as electrical, gas, water, sewer, and fiber optic), as well as details about soil conditions, groundwater, contaminants, or hazardous materials. KTX Expansion Joints accepts no responsibility for damages related to undisclosed latent or underground utilities, obstructions, or site conditions, which may also result in service interruptions.
  • The customer must grant KTX Expansion Joints unrestricted access to the work site. Should access not be available as scheduled, the customer will be responsible for compensating KTX Expansion Joints for costs associated with demobilization, remobilization, trip charges, standby charges, or any other related expenses.
  • KTX Expansion Joints is entitled to an extension of time to complete the work if delays, disruptions, hindrances, or interferences occur due to actions (or lack thereof) by the customer, the property owner, their contractors, adverse weather conditions, flooding, named storms, acts of God, or any causes beyond KTX Expansion Joints' reasonable control.
  • In the event of an alleged default, the customer must provide KTX Expansion Joints with written notice within three (3) days of the occurrence of such default.
  • This proposal will expire thirty (30) days after the proposal date if not accepted and signed by an authorized representative of the customer and returned to KTX Expansion Joints.
  • The contract amount plus any applicable sales, use, or similar taxes will be invoiced and are due and payable in full upon completion of the work.
  • Any unpaid balance over thirty (30) days will be subject to interest charges, which will accrue at 3% per month on any unpaid balance

Expansion Joint Sealing Warranty

KTX Expansion Joints warrants the above-listed property owner(s) and subsequent owners of the Improved Property.

(cumulatively Homeowner(s)) that, i) all of the Property Improvement work, including all materials, hardware, and fixtures utilized in said improvements, will be free of all defects caused by faulty workmanship and/or defective)

The warranty for materials is effective for one year, commencing from the date of completion of the Property Improvement Work, referred to as the "Warranty Date." However, this warranty does not cover certain scenarios. Exclusions include damage caused by flooding—specifically if the property is situated within a designated hundred-year flood zone—as well as natural disasters such as earthquakes. Additional exemptions apply to any damage caused by the homeowner or others on the property, significant structural changes resulting from land or concrete movement, precipitation occurring within 48 hours of the completed work, and any damage to the integrity of the work caused by natural disasters.
